Antibirth was an impressive bit of fan content, to the point that a lot of people preferred it over the canon expansion (at least in its initial iteration).
Antibirth introduces a bunch of unique new levels to counter the canon ones, all with their own unique enemies and bosses, ending with a whole new intense final boss. Well, the sting from that was mitigated by a lot of fans because around the same time, some fans released a fan expansion: Antibirth.īesides the usual new items and enemies that would be expected from a fan expansion, Antibirth went above and beyond by creating a whole alternate game path. So, a long time ago I wrote about the Afterbirth+ expansion and how it was kinda underwhelming at launch. And honestly, it better be the last expansion because this game absolutely feels like a finale to a huge game built up over the years.
Tons of unlockable items, enemies, bosses and more.The Binding of Isaac: Repentance is the latest expansion to The Binding of Isaac, and may actually be its last expansion. 50+ enemy types each with the ability to become "special" making them extra deadly but they also drop better loot. Over 100 unique items that not only give you powers but visually change your character.

The Binding of Isaac is a randomly generated action RPG shooter with heavy Rogue-like elements. When Isaac’s mother starts hearing the voice of God demanding a sacrifice be made to prove her faith, Isaac escapes into the basement facing droves of deranged enemies, lost brothers and sisters, his fears, and eventually his mother.
